Marvelous city view at early morning, rest of time filled with swarming tourists. Explore the neighborhood, Montmartre vibes are much stronger then you think.
The Basilica is beautiful, but check out the church to the left - built in 11th century by nuns using stone from an ancient Roman temple that stood here before it.
Worth the climb to see a free view of Paris. The basilica is great as well. You can enter for free and go to the observatory tower for a fee. We aware of the street vendors
